The Daily Hoot is a free book quest available every day to all users. It resets at midnight. Complete it to earn XP, keep your streak alive, and contribute to your league score.

Complete at least one quest per day to extend your streak 🔥. If you miss a day, your streak resets to zero. You can earn Freeze Shields through missions — a freeze protects your streak for one missed day.

Missions are side-quests that reward XP, badges, streak freezes, and owl companions. There are daily missions (reset every 24h) and persistent missions (long-term goals like "complete 10 quests in psychology"). You can have up to 3 active daily missions at a time.

You earn XP for completing quests, finishing missions, keeping your streak, and participating in the league. Premium members earn 2× XP on all activities. XP contributes to your level and league ranking.

A Reading Pact lets you team up with a friend to read the same book together. You both commit to finishing by a set date and earn a bonus badge if you both complete it on time. It's a way to make reading social and accountable.

Owl companions are collectable characters tied to BriefBook's lore. Each owl has a unique name, personality, and rarity. They appear on your profile, in missions, and in the league. Some owls can only be earned at specific times — like the Founding Owl, Ember, available only to waitlist members before launch day.

Owls can be earned through: completing missions, spending earned points in the owl shop, receiving them as monthly theme rewards, or through Premium (which unlocks exclusive Premium owls). Some owls are limited-time and disappear forever after their event ends.

Ember is a special founding owl given exclusively to users who join the waitlist before May 21, 2026. Once the app launches, Ember vanishes forever and will never be available again. If you're reading this before launch day, join the waitlist to claim yours.

Premium owls are exclusive companions only accessible to Premium subscribers. They're separate from owls earned through missions or points — those are available to all users. Premium owls are marked with a ⭐ in your collection.

The League is a monthly competition where you earn points by reading quests, completing missions, and keeping streaks. At the end of each month the top players are promoted to a higher division, the bottom are relegated, and everyone earns rewards based on their final rank.

Yes — the League is free for all users. Everyone competes. Premium members earn 2× XP so they naturally accumulate points faster, but free users can still climb the ranks through consistency.

At the end of each month, top finishers earn exclusive badges, titles, and sometimes special owl companions tied to that month's theme. These rewards are only available to that season's top players — they won't return.

Premium unlocks: full library access (all 121+ books, not just the Daily Hoot), audio mode, Notebook (notes, tasks & quotes), exclusive Premium owls, 2× XP and points, and offline reading. Pricing: R$29.90/month or R$199/year (7-day free trial).

Yes — Premium comes with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime during the trial at no charge. The trial is available for the annual plan (R$199/year).

Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. To cancel: open Google Play → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BriefBook → Cancel. You'll keep Premium access until the end of your billing period.

Your account, XP, streak, badges, owls, and Notebook entries are all kept. You'll simply lose access to the full library and premium-only features. Your progress is never deleted when you downgrade.

BriefBook supports login with Google or email and password. Use the same method every time to make sure your progress syncs correctly across devices.

First, check your internet connection. Then: close and reopen the app. If the problem persists, go to Settings → Account → Force sync. If it's still not working, email us at hello@mybriefbook.com and include your account email.

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes all your data including progress, owls, and badges. This action cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, cancel it on Google Play first.

You can manage notifications in Settings → Notifications inside the app, or through your Android notification settings. You can control streak reminders, mission alerts, and league updates independently.
